14 Years and Open Performance Groups travelled to Newcastle in April 2017. They Competed against quality Performance Groups and placed in all sections receiving many 1st places.

Students travelled to Coffs Harbour in June 2017. The 10 Years and 12 Years Performance Groups enjoyed performing against the local and visiting groups in a friendly atmosphere whilst receiving many places including 3 first places.

Our 15 Years Performance students travel to the Gold Coast in August annually. This is one of the highlights of the Performance year and students look forward to competing at a high level, professional Eisteddfod. This Eisteddfod brings together the best Dance Performance Groups in Queensland. Extreme Dance Studios performance group came away with 1st place in the Classical and Contemporary sections and also placing in all other sections competed in.

The Australian Dance Festival is Australia's largest Dance Convention and Extreme Dance Studios had the opportunity to compete and showcase one of our routines among Australia's best full-time schools.
Conor Bann-Murray was selected from participating in the workshops provided, from hundreds of students, to perform a solo in the 'Rising Star' Award. Both the Performance Group and Conor's performance can be found in our Showcase section

We are proud to perform and participate in our local Eisteddfod to showcase the students hard work and talent. Some of the highlights from the 2017 Eisteddfod include:

• 10 years Group - Winner "Most Promising Group"
• 14 years Group - Winner "Most Outstanding Group"
• Open Age Group - Winner "Most Outstanding Group"
• Open Age Group - Winner "Most Memorable Group"

Many students received First places during the Solo Competition and some of the highlights were:

• Caitlin Leahy - Winner - "Senior Jazz Scholarship"
• Caitlin Leahy - Runner Up - "Senior Classical Scholarship"
• Conor Bann-Murray - Runner Up - "Senior Jazz Scholarship"

Students are invited to participate in Royal Academy of Dance Exams held at our studio annually in October. Students in 2017 sat Exams from Grade 3 to Advanced 1. Extreme Dance Studios are proud that we have 100% pass rate with 95% of students receiving Distinction.

Our in house Solo Showcase is held annually in November at our very own studio. All students are invited to showcase 1 of their solo routines in front of family and friends as a celebration for their hard work and success for the year.

Our annual showcase is held in December at the "Glasshouse" in Port Macquarie. All students perform in the showcase and it is a highlight of our year. This opportunity allows Extreme Dance Studios to perform in front of the wider community and showcase Award Winning Choreography in a professional setting with a sell out performance in 2017.
